Have you ever come to a webpage and not been able to find the thing that you’re looking for on the particular page? You know the thing you’re looking for is there, but you just can’t locate it. Well, here’s a quick tip for finding things on webpages: Control-F.
For any particular webpage, you can press down the Control key, then F, to open up a search box for that particular page. (If you’re using a Mac, it’s Command-F.) Typing in some text in the search bar will then search for that particular string of text on the webpage and highlight it for you.
This can be an incredibly handy and fast way to locate anything on a webpage. I highly recommend it if you find yourself searching for something on a page for more than a minute. Here’s a quick video that shows the process in detail.
